Stephen Cataldo, Community Weaver & Founder

Goals, Plans, Visions & Future Resume. (What do you want to accomplish as a part of SpaceShare?):
Helping to weave together the energy and visions of many people -- both volunteers here and organizers of other carpool systems -- so that environmentalists can take practical steps to greatly reduce cars, car use, and traffic. I've got solid "nerd" skills around programming and structure; hope to learn much more about bringing beauty to the work, group formation, design and leadership.

I've been a long time activist, looking for ways to have a real impact. I love the idea of ordinary people going out and creating change, not waiting for politicians, not waiting for rich donors. Past work has included introducing thousands of people to veggie-burgers at the Heart Cart, and writing calendar software aimed at small businesses and activist organizations.

Encourage more people to bicycle together to events, especially World Car-Free Day, 22 Sept, in Washington, DC.

I live on my bicycle across the USA. I write, play music, and shoot video. My last organized ride was http://www.catalystsofhope.org and prior to that http://www.bike4peace.org. I'd like to support counter-recruitment tours of http://www.ivaw.org or http://www.vfp.org.

Please contact me at kashimbi@earthlink.net, especially if you'd like to ride with me.
