How do I deactivate my account?

You can deactivate your Space Share account at any time, as long as you have no active bookings or open disputes.

  1. Go to Account settings → Privacy
  2. Click Deactivate account
  3. Tell us briefly why (optional, helps us improve)
  4. Confirm with your password

After deactivation:

  • Your profile is hidden immediately
  • Past message threads with hosts are retained for 24 months for trust & safety purposes
  • Receipts and tax records are kept for 7 years as required by Canadian law
  • You can reactivate within 30 days by signing back in

After 30 days your personal data is fully purged from our systems. If you'd like a copy of your data first, request it from support@spaceshare.ca before deactivating.
