Are taxes included in the price?

All listing prices on Space Share are shown before tax. The booking summary shows your full subtotal, service fee, and applicable taxes before you confirm.

Taxes vary by province and listing type:

• GST/HST — applied to the Space Share service fee in all provinces, and to the listing price when the host is GST-registered
• Provincial accommodation tax — applies to overnight stays in BC (MRDT 2–3%), Quebec (3.5% lodging tax), and some Ontario municipalities (MAT 4%)
• Municipal taxes — Toronto, Vancouver, and Montréal each apply their own short-term rental fees

Your final receipt itemizes every tax separately so you can expense it cleanly. For tax invoices in your business's name, add your company details under Account → Billing.
