How do payments work?

Space Share processes all payments in Canadian dollars (CAD) through a PCI-compliant payment partner. We never store your full card number on our servers.

When you request to book — your card is pre-authorized for the full amount but not charged. You'll see a temporary hold on your statement.

When the host accepts — your card is charged and the hold becomes a real transaction. You receive an emailed receipt within minutes.

If the host declines or doesn't respond in 24 hours — the hold is released automatically (your bank may take 3–5 business days to remove it from your available balance).

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Interac Debit, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Corporate cards and Visa Debit work normally.

For bookings over $2,000, we also offer e-Transfer and ACH on request — email support before booking.
